چکیده

Escherichia coli and Klebsiella sp. are the predominant species isolated from clinical samples. Recent proper understanding of antibiotic susceptibility pattern extended-spectrum β-lactamases (ESBL) AmpC (AmpC) producing E. will prevent distribution future incidence ESBL AmpC. We designed this study to understand patterns a tertiary care hospital in North India. A cross-sectional was conducted March 2021 February 2022. Guring period, various samples were collected further tested for by using Double disc Synergy test, whereas detected Boronic acid disk potentiation method. Their noted. Various specimens collected, which 37.95% shown growth bacteria. Among them, 46.67% 25.21% identified standard laboratory protocol. isolates 44.37% 34.20% sp., respectively. Whereas production 18.27% 29.36% pus, blood, sputum showed highest sensitivity towards colistin, tigecycline, imipenem while urine imipenem, meropenem sensitivity. Susceptibility enhance infection management help clinicians prescribe appropriate antibiotics. The carbapenem, nitrofurantoin, colistin tigecycline susceptible against

The detection of Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactamases (ESBLs) producing Escherichia coli isolated from clinical samples

Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are a stern public health problem and are caused by a wide range of pathogens, but most frequently by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Enterococcus faecalis and Staphylococcus saprophyticus. High frequency rates and increasing antimicrobial resistance among uropathogens threaten to greatly raise the economic load of these infections. Fe...

Characterization of AmpC, CTX-M and MBLs types of β-lactamases in clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli producing Extended Spectrum β-lactamases in Kerman, Iran

BACKGROUND Extended spectrum β-lactamases (ESBLs) and AmpC β-lactamases enzyme are major sources of resistance to β-lactam antibiotics especially in Enterobacteriaceae such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Increasing frequency of the co-existence of ESBLs with AmpC-β-lactamases in bacteria is a serious threat for treating bacterial infections. OBJECTIVES The aim of this study wa...

detection of extended-spectrum β-lactamases (esbls) in escherichia coli

background escherichia coli (e. coli) species are able to produce extended-spectrum β-lactamases (esbls) that cause high resistance to the beta-lactam antibiotics. therefore, determining the antibiotic susceptibility patterns in resistant organisms is necessary for suitable therapeutic approaches. patients and methods totally, 260 clinical isolates of e. coli were collected from hospitals in te...

Emergence of Escherichia coli producing extended-spectrum AmpC β-lactamases (ESAC) in animals

In both humans and animals, the spread of Extended-Spectrum β-Lactamases (ESBL)/AmpC producers has become a major issue, particularly due to the plasmidic dissemination of most of these genes. Besides, over-expression of the chromosomal ampC gene was largely reported in human and animal Enterobacteriaceae and, more recently, modifications within the coding region of the ampC gene [encoding Exte...
